Flight data are pilots‘conversations with each other, communication with satellites, the ground services and the cockpit noise (background). Aircraft engine speed, engine gas temperature, vibration level, the aerodynamic surfaces and chassis bearings, fuel supply, fuel, oil and hydraulic fluid pressure, and many dozens of other aircraft systems parameters are called the flight data. The era of remotely controlled aircrafts started in the beginning of the 20th century. Drone refers to unmanned aerial vehicles (abbreviated as UAV) or unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), which are used in many different areas starting from military aviation and even agriculture.
It is uncommon that a company founded only few years ago suddenly becomes widely known not only in the country it was based in, but also in the international arena. IBM builds graphene chip that’s 10,000 times faster, using standard CMOS processes. Engineers at IBM Research have built the world’s most advanced graphene-based chip, with performance that’s 10,000 times better than previous graphene ICs. The key to the breakthrough is a new manufacturing technique that allows the graphene to be deposited on the chip without it being damaged (something that has heretofore been very hard to achieve).

The genius of welding systems Gasparas Kazlauskas is unknown in Lithuania, and it seems he has never been such here. Radioisotope thermoelectric generators (RTG) produced with the help of the welding tool he has designed and patented were flew with the Apollo 12, 14, 15, 16, and 17 to the surface of the Moon and left there for the rest of the days.
In the 2012 edition of ‘Secret of Success’ issued by the European Commission for the European SME Week, among others, the sole representative of Lithuania the company UAB Ruptela is also sharing its achievements. The publication presents the best small and medium-sized companies that has started as small businesses but eventually has successfully established themselves in the market and started to export their goods and services to other countries
